Varier Move – active sitting with balance and flexibility
The Varier Move is an ergonomic sit-stand stool, designed by Per Øie in 1985. With a saddle-shaped seat and convex base, you'll maintain subtle movement while sitting, training your balance and encouraging an active sitting posture. This reduces muscle tension and supports a healthy back and posture. The seat height is infinitely adjustable via a gas lift, allowing you to effortlessly switch between sitting and almost standing. The standard version has a wooden base with a rubber edge for stability on various floors.
Variants:
-
Move Compact: a smaller, lighter version for limited space and flexible workspaces. It retains all the ergonomic benefits of the original Move, with a lower seat height and a more compact base. Ideal for home workstations or users who frequently change positions.
-
Move on Wheels: Featuring a plastic base and smooth-rolling wheels, it combines the Move's active seating principle with maximum mobility. Suitable for both hard and soft floors and ideal for workplaces where you frequently switch between desks or workstations.
All variants support active, healthy sitting and promote balance, movement and comfort throughout the day.
