Back to school

Our children sit and watch themselves silly and fall asleep during class!

The cause does not lie with them but with ignorance about ergonomics in the classroom and during studying.

Some tips for the kids:

  • Place the laptop on a stack of books or a laptop stand so that the screen is at eye level .
  • Use a separate keyboard and mouse that you hold close to your torso , and fold the legs of your keyboard in so that it lies as flat as possible.
  • When taking notes, sit on the edge of your chair , keeping your feet under the seat. Your knees should be 10 cm lower than your pelvis.
  • Change your sitting position constantly . Stretch your arms out straight, arms extended behind you and arms extended forward.
  • Never sit against the back of a chair while studying
  • Ask after 20 minutes  to be allowed to stand up, and if possible, to walk around the classroom.

With these tips, you can already start working with existing (poor) school furniture designed for sitting still. If you want to invest in ergonomics in the classroom, we recommend starting with wobble seat wedges. This provides a lot of movement.  oxygen to the nervous system and we pay more attention during class.

Furthermore, a reading and writing aid can also be useful to improve back position.
Try to get our children moving as much as possible between lessons by keeping the sports facilities available at all times. Everyone should work hard for our children's health. Good luck!
