What is a good pillow?
A good pillow provides proper neck support and a neutral head position. The pillow is the finishing touch to your sleep system. The right pillow can definitely improve your sleep quality.
Choosing the right pillow for you depends on three factors : your sleeping position, the firmness of your sleeping system, and finally, your physical characteristics.

Your sleeping position
Your choice of pillow depends on your sleeping position. The most important thing is that your spine remains neutral, so your neck is minimally strained and your discs can recover optimally.
Back sleepers need a pillow that is not too high to support the slight curvature of their neck.
Stomach sleepers are best served by using a low, soft pillow without additional support to avoid further strain on the twisted neck.
Side sleepers should keep their cervical vertebrae aligned with the spine to avoid pressure and muscle tension.
Combination sleepers actually need multiple pillows, but fortunately there are compromise solutions.

Sleeping system hardness
Since a side sleeper's pillow must cover the distance from their shoulders to their cervical vertebrae, the firmness of the sleeping system in the shoulder area also plays a role. After all, if you sleep on a board, it's the entire distance that needs to be covered.
The pillow will need to be relatively thick. However, if you sleep on a sleeping system that offers sufficient shoulder space, the distance to be covered will be smaller. The pillow will then need to be lower for the same person.

Physical characteristics
Finally, the height of the pillow will also depend on the sleeper's size. The broader the shoulders, the higher the pillow will need to be if you sleep on your side. The heavier your head, the firmer or thicker the filling, or the more pronounced the neck roll of the pillow.
That's why we offer pillows in all heights, accurate to the centimeter. You wouldn't settle for a standard shoe size 39 or 43, would you? Our Flow pillow is available in 9cm, 10cm, 11cm, 12cm, 13cm, 14cm, 15cm, and 16cm, and in two firmness levels: soft and medium.
The ideal height of an ergonomic pillow
-
A pillow that is too low
If the pillow is too low, the neck will not receive enough support and there will be extra pressure on the shoulders.
-
A pillow that is too high
A pillow that is too high pushes the head up, causing tension on the neck muscles.
-
A good pillow
A good pillow provides sufficient support for the hollow of the neck and leaves room for the head.

Our advisors are trained to choose the best pillow for you. We consider all factors and manually check the position of your cervical vertebrae.

What material is the best pillow made of?
A pillow should always provide the right support, regardless of your sleeping position. Modifying it shouldn't be necessary, as you change positions about 30 times a night.
Best choice: Latex foam ventilates well, retains its shape, offers sufficient resistance and still feels soft.
Less suitable:
Memory foam has poor ventilation and is heat-sensitive: too hard when cold, too soft when warm.
Down, synthetic, or buckwheat are unsuitable for side sleepers because the filling sinks or shifts. Buckwheat is also noisy.
Allergy? Synthetic filling is washable, but lacks latex support. Alternative: freeze latex foam pillows to repel dust mites.
