The ergonomic shape of the Evoluent D is inspired by years of experience and research. It supports the user's hand in a handshake position, the most neutral position for the hand, wrist, and arm. Holding the vertical mouse in a handshake position automatically relieves or prevents arm and wrist pain. The extra-wide lip along the bottom edge prevents the little finger from rubbing against the desk. This provides superior comfort for your work and leads to increased productivity.
The unique finger groove on the buttons positions the hand and fingers in a neutral position.

Customizing the mouse buttons:
With the free download version of the Evoluent Mouse Manager software, you can easily configure the five buttons on your Evoluent D. With the individual settings for your mouse buttons, you can work as comfortably as possible.

Easily adjust the DPI:
The Evoluent D’s adjustable pointer speed button, located behind the scroll wheel, lets you quickly adjust the pointer speed to suit different tasks: select a higher speed (higher DPI) to make the pointer move faster for general use; select a lower speed (lower DPI) to make the pointer move more slowly and precisely for drawing, photo editing, etc. Nicely, four lights indicate the different pointer speeds, from slowest to fastest.

Plug and play:
The Evoluent D connects to your computer without any manual configuration. Simply plug the USB cable from the wireless version's USB receiver into your device and start working. The Evoluent D's wireless USB receiver can be stored behind a magnetic battery cover, so you'll never lose it. The laser sensor ensures reliable tracking on most surfaces.

Cool features:
The Evoluent D offers helpful features to help you work more efficiently. Excel Horizontal Scroll lets you scroll horizontally in Microsoft® Excel® by pressing a thumb button and rolling the wheel. Smart Scrolling dramatically varies the sensitivity of each scroll, depending on the speed at which you roll the wheel, from slow and precise to hyper-fast for quickly flipping through long pages. Eye Comfort Control lets you quickly reduce screen brightness to help reduce eye strain by simply rolling the wheel. Easily adjust screen brightness as ambient light changes.
